Foster and Associates, CPA, LLC

My experience with Foster and Associates CPA was nothing but unprofessional, stressful and frustrating. After initially assuring me they would be able to take care of my taxes I was passed on from associate to associate, having to explain my situation multiple times. The final bill I received for their services was astronomically higher than the initial quote with charges that had been added without any explanation or warning. It took multiple inquiries to even get a detailed breakdown of the charges and when I did I discovered I was charged for things like the time I took out of my schedule to come into their office to explain (again) to their associates the details of my case as well as charges for email communication between myself and associates. I wish I could say that my experience was unique, but I had given their contact to a friend who had a nearly identical experience to my own — unprofessional, hidden/unexplained charges and inexperienced staff.

Working with Foster was unpredictable, unprofessional, chaotic, and highly stressful. Constantly. My returns were handled by over a dozen different people and I never had any idea what was happening. Every single thing happened last minute without any space for consultation. I received URGENT emails late at night that came out of the blue but required my immediate attention if I wanted to avoid fines. My basic request for itemized invoices was never successful. I just got invoices back to back. This is just scratching the surface. I don't think I've ever written a negative online review, but working with them was a nightmare. I wish I'd left sooner. Stay far, far away. And no, it wasn't just the pandemic. I told myself that and stayed long afterwards. I wish I hadn't.

It is unfortunate that I write a poor review. Ever since the firm was acquired by another person, it went downhill fast. They failed to ensure quality service and being experts in their field. Heck, they can't even do quality check/control on their paper work. Many of their staff that tried to stay on has also left under new management. Originally, we were with this firm for over 4 years and will be seeking better professionals elsewhere.
