Mr. Heyward and Ms. Nicole Cooper were very professional in handling my taxes. As a pastor, I highly recommend my colleagues to have this CPA firm to take care of their taxes and other accounting matters.

I used Heyward CPA for my small businesses taxes this past year and it has been a nightmare. I made the mistake of paying a monthly fee for their services (which I have recieved next to none of), which apparently means they will take as long as they desire to file your taxes. After providing them with all of my financial statements, they still had to file an extension. Not a huge deal, but after that occurred I did not hear from them until 3 months later, even after sending multiple emails asking for an update. 2 months later, they then sent me a summary of what they would be filing with the wrong profit numbers (and not even slightly wrong, about 50,000 off) not once but twice. Keep in mind, I had provided them with all of the financial statements up front. Now, it is almost the end of the year and I have not even received confirmation of the filing. As a business owner I have more important things to do than do the work of an accounting firm that I am paying. I hate leaving bad revie

Did not reach out to me for an initial consult for over two weeks. After we consulted, they told me a proposal would be sent and that was not sent until 20 days later. After accepting the proposal and payment, and going through submitting all my documents & questionnaire, I did not hear anything for 14 days which is when I contacted them regarding the status of my return. They had not looked at my documents until then, as they said they needed further documents but after looking again they had them. After this they finished the return in a few hours, using only a standard deduction with my 1040. Did not discuss any other ways to save on taxes, or other advisory services. TurboTax costs $110, this costs over $500 and TurboTax got me a better deal on my taxes with audit defense. They are useless. Edit: To be clear given the response from the business, they neither met nor exceeded my needs. They saved me less money than a piece of automated tax software while costing 5 times more.
