HFG Financial (Strategic Tax) Tax Preparation and Services; Larry Hahka, Enrolled Agent

This year was the first time that we had Larry prepare our taxes and we could not have been happier. He asked important questions, found deductions we would have missed and, better yet, he did it for both the current year and previous years returns! He saved us a ton of $, did it in a timely and professional manner and was very pleasant to work with. His prices are very fair as well. He could use an office manager to help him out during this busy season but I suppose he would have to charge more for his work then! Overall, my wife and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Great guy who did a great job for us.

Beyond unprofessional--actively malicious. Larry and his staff failed to properly file my taxes, and put my financial well-being and personal identity at risk. Throughout the process, as I tried to get basic information on actions they had taken or failed to take, Larry refused to give it to me, and repeatedly shouted at me, berated me, and threatened me. I am filing complaints against his office with the IRS and the state of Minnesota, and encourage everyone to look elsewhere for their tax services.

Larry is rude. He may think his humor is funny but he's condescending, critical, and unprofessional . I used him for tax prep for 3 years. Every friend or family member I referred to him left with a bad taste in their mouth. He had a copy of a book titled "The Climate Change Hoax" on his desk when I walked in.... if you want to be chastised and denigrated this is the spot. . You've been warned!
