A wonderful experience all together. I scheduled an appointment for 1 PM, showed up early and we got started right away. They were professional and got it done super fast with me while I was there. By 1:18 PM I was out the door. Much better and faster than trying to do this myself or having a non-professional person help.
Still very expensive. Was more than what I was quoted up front. Interesting how I was charged more the previous year when I hadn’t bought a house yet and I was still renting with less income and less deductions. I know for a fact that I was overcharged. Paying $400 or more to have taxes done is very expensive.
The woman preparing my taxes needed to keep asking the other woman for help. We barely spoke other than to ask tax questions and answer. It was a very awkward experience. Even the woman helping the woman helping us wasnt very friendly. Prior to preparing the taxes I asked about the price and was shown a sheet but didn't know how much it would actually be given the forms we had. When we finished after an awkward 2.5 hours she told me "give me 5 stars on the review". I really don't feel we were given 5 star service to be honest. The price we paid was double what I expected from looking at the pricing sheet. If I decide to use H&R block in the future I will not be returning to the north ogden location. The woman that checked us in was friendly so I was expecting a better experience. She deserves 5 stars but in my opinion is the only one that does.
