Market Tax Services - Downtown

My long term firm sold to this company for taxes. Just heard from our NewCpa and Market had screwed up our taxes to the point we are being told we owe several thousand dollars this year for last year's mistakes. I agree with another reviewer that we were told not enough help. I do not recommend this firm for simple buisness taxes.

TLDR: Market Tax promised to file my taxes on time over the phone. They missed the deadline and now I owe $60 in penalties. Their only excuse is that they couldn't hire enough help. My suggestion is to pay your employees more and stop giving pathetic/unacceptable excuses to your clients. Do NOT use this company for tax services or any services for that matter. Another suggestion, do not over promise on what you are capable of... I could have gone to H&R block instead and paid no penalty. ________________________________ I requested that Market Tax Services file my taxes for me. They assured me that they would be done on time. Fast forward to the tax filing deadline date and my taxes still weren't done. They assured me that they were going to file for an extension at no cost to me. This next part is very important, they said that if I believed I owed taxes... I would (and have) recommend this place to anyone looking for a professional tax service. In a day of AI, it’s nice to have the same person year after year who knows all the tax laws, is a real CPA, and will meet with you in person. Bonus- the price point is very reasonable!
