Moulton Tax Service

My wife & I used this service & for the most part were pleased, but then things started getting done incorrectly & we could not get resolved! They overcharged & my wife contacted several times to get a refund & never heard back & never received a refund. Can't make a complaint to the Board of Certified Accountants because they are a Tax Service & not CPAs. Warning. Use @ your own risk.

If I could give 'zero' stars, I would. I work for a CPA firm in NC. Mr. Moulton's office prepared the 2022 tax return for the father of one of my clients in 2023. In error, Joy Taylor, who works for Mr. Moulton and prepared the tax return, used MY client's Social Security number on the tax return instead of her actual client's. When my office electronically filed our client's tax return, it was rejected by the IRS, since H&R Block had already used my client's SS# on THEIR client's tax return. My office had to paper file our client's tax return, which in turned delayed his tax return being processed and him receiving his refund. The IRS now classifies my client as a victim of identity theft, and going forward he will no longer be able to use his SS# to file. He has had to obtain an IRS Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, which he will have to use.
