We've been using Ornelas and Morris to complete our tax returns for 9 years. Our tax returns have always been completed in a timely and accurate manner. I tried repeatedly to get setup with them as a new client earlier this year. The owner was persistently vague and evasive when I asked for a quote. He never would give me a straight answer about cost (First red flag). I finally agreed to let them take over on good faith. I then spent hours getting all of the requested information to them in order to start the process only to find out months later that although they had billed me for services(which I paid), they did absolutely nothing. When I discovered this and asked them why they hadn't started, they said they didn't remember anything about me and couldn't find anything in my file.(Second red flag). After spending more time getting all of the financial statements, bank statements, and other required information to them a second time, he calls me less than an hour later demanding that I pay $3000 before they would even start! (FINAL red flag). I've been with the same accountant for almost 15 years prior to them, so this is his loss. I
