I reached out to Paramount Tax in Cottonwood Heights for assistance with my dad and recently deceased mother’s taxes. I met with Josh Pyne the second week of March 2022 virtually and I explained the situation and that their taxes this year seemed complicated to me because they included a 1031 exchange and inheritance. Josh assured me that it wasn’t anything he was concerned with and that he would be able to be of assistance. I told him that I didn’t know exactly what to provide and again he assured me that he would take a look at what I was able to provide and that he would then be in touch with any further requests. I also asked in this initial meeting if there was some sort of contract or agreement we needed to sign and how they are compensated. Josh explained that there wasn’t and that we would pay once the return was completed. This was my first mistake, to not get something in writing of what they were going to do for us so that we were both clear on our expectations. I uploaded a

Worthless! Terrible communication and very little to no effort put towards your best interests. Josh is pretty much a admin assist with a degree (which is questionable). He did not use my current info, his numbers/submissions to the state and feds were questioned and inaccurate. This firm just punches numbers into a “turbo tax” form, adds a business header form and sends you on your way. No explanation of further steps needed other then “you can figure the rest out online”. That one star is a set google default and far from accurate. 0 stars for this copy and past scam
