Mark was amazing. So much experience. He helped fix the taxes that someone else messed up AND he dealt directly with the IRS to help us when they wanted money. I highly recommend him.

We had our taxes completed with Mark in 2014 and recently received a letter from the IRS stating we owe money due to his inability to read a W2. After giving him the letter to review it took him a MONTH to respond to us after MULTIPLE phone calls and in person visits. Finally we received a call from his secretary that he sent us an email, his email response was rude and completely unprofessional. He never even apologized for his error and stated "Sorry we haven’t responded to you on YOUR time frame....Let’s agree to disagree and have you move on to another tax preparer." He also did not even acknowledge his error in reading the names on the W2’s. (one for myself, one for my husband. Both were put under the same name therefore causing an error of approximately $2,000). He refused to return our tax preparation fees. I seriously question his competency after making such a simple error. I do not recommend anyone having their taxes completed by him.

We have gone to Renberg CPA for our taxes the past two years. This year we dropped our taxes off and we were told they would be ready in 1-2 weeks. Four weeks later and after 2 calls from me they still were not done. Had to pick our taxes up to go somewhere else. After reviewing our prior year taxes done by them we noticed Mark put the wrong filing status on both our taxes. We now have to amend our 2020 taxes and still have under a month to now do our 2021 taxes. I am aware Mark passed away and that is why they said they are behind on doing everyone’s taxes. But they were aware Mark was not doing the taxes when we dropped them off and they still continued on taking more taxes on even though they are way over their head and behind. We will never use Renberg again for our taxes. Our condolences to Mark’s family and coworkers, but you still have a business to run and we were very dissatisfied.
