I've always done my own personal taxes, just on TurboTax or H&R Block's online filing, but I got married last year and had some questions about my 1099 contract work, so I knew it was time to bite the bullet and get our taxes done professionally. As someone who's pretty type A and likes to make sure I dot all my i's and cross all my t's, working with J. Hall & Company was an absolute dream! The team's communication is so speedy and thorough, and they do everything with an online portal so it was very easy to upload our documents and submit questions. I also had to go back to them twice with forms that came later (oops!) and they were so kind about it! The cherry on top was the personalized 5-minute video they sent breaking down our return. They were able to snag some tax credits for us that I wouldn't have been able to figure out on my own. Josh and the team have been wonderful to work with. They handle everything for my S Corp from the books to taxes in a professional and easy to understand way. As someone who's working with an accounting firm for the first time, this feels like a heavy burden off my shoulders.

I have so many good things to say about Josh and Alec and J.Hall and Company. First, I'll say that I identify as more of a creative type, so financial systems, spreadsheets, etc. have never been my forte or interest, frankly. 8 years ago, my creative expression began manifesting as a business. When it came to taxes for my business and understanding the financial ins and outs of how to structure things in a beneficial way, I was pretty clueless. Josh and Alec have helped me with both my personal and business strategies. I trust them to handle my taxes every year, and they are always available to take the time to educate me. Honestly, I would be up a creek with out these two, and I am very happy for the ease and fluidity of working with them!
