Beware servicemembers and veterans. Your TaxLady quoted me $355 with military discount. However, upon arriving to sign my taxes the bill was $569. No one from this office attempted to call, text, or email explaining the increase prior to my arrival. I highly recommend using another tax preparation company.

We hired this company to prepare our taxes for 2021. The initial consultation was with Leslie, who presumably would do our return. When we came to pick up our completed return, the receptionist told us we owed over 8000$, asking how we wanted to pay. Confused, I looked through the completed return and saw that our adjusted gross income was twice what it should’ve been. I requested a meeting with the owner, and it was scheduled for the beginning of the following week. When I sat down with the owner, Kathy, I asked her if she’d gotten a chance to look at our return. She chuckled and said she was the one who prepared it. I asked how she arrived at the adjusted gross income, and she quickly snapped back, “You mean why you owe so much? You need to withhold more.” I asked again, and she turned to her computer and finally realized she had INCLUDED our 2020 tax return with 2021.
